Photocopy of a map originally made by Jean Jacques Vioget for Captain A. Sutter in 1841. This photocopy is of a map certified by Vioget in 1854, filed by John A. Sutter in 1855, and copied and certified again by Sherman Day in 1873. Vioget notes in his certification of the first copy that it is identical to the original except for "some dotted lines wanting to mark swampy lands."
